A huge Irish oak home makeover
At the start of this year, this customer had come to us through Checkatrade and was looking for new casement windows. Soon after their enquiry, we visited their home and quoted for a golden oak finish on double glazed white uPVC casement windows. They made the wise choice of popping into our showroom to see the colours & finishes up close. During their visit to our showroom, our Irish oak finish on a white flush sash sample window with horizontal astragal bars really caught their eye. Immediately they knew that’s what they really liked & wanted for their home. They decided on having their new flush sash windows dual coloured, white on the inside to look nice and clean, whilst keeping the character of wood on the outside thanks to the Irish oak finish.
They felt it would be a great idea to also upgrade their larger front door space, or a vestibule as it’s more accurately known, at the same time. They wanted to create a beautiful feature entrance space, and we did just that with a large combination window including 6mm glass for safety. This glass thickness ensures safe opening & closing of the entrance door and also is needed due to the sheer size of the glass panel. And why stop at the front?…
The back door was also replaced with a Solidor composite stable door in the Irish oak finish, to match the front door. The rear stable door also included a dog flap, so even the furry members of the family can get in & out of the home comfortably!
And you’d think the job was done here, but the customers came back soon after to ask us to replace their older 6 pane wooden bifold doors for modern aluminium ones.

This stunning transformation was carefully completed by our meticulous installation team, taking extra care around elements like the glass balustrades inside the home. As you can see from the pictures below, the new windows & doors really add to the traditional character of the home.
