Considering the location of the window was on ground level, security was also an important factor to this safety conscious Chesterfield family. We reassured them that our uPVC vertical sliders featured high-performance key operated sash locks, along with security bars fitted along the bottom transom to prevent potential house-breakers forcing entry and gaining access to the residence. Finished off with travel restrictors, this nifty little range of secure sash window hardware heightens safety and security further by reducing the amount of clear opening on the window to 100mm.
‘A rated’ uPVC Vertical Sliding Sashes
The Laws also wanted to address the fact that their old sash windows had become considerably draughty, therefore required replacement sash windows that would retain as much heat as possible with the addition of double glazing. Traditional sash windows are inherently draughty but, having replaced and enhanced many homes with these types of windows in the past, we were confident that we could exceed their expectations by miles.
