Here at Global Windows, our home-improvement work takes us right across the Yorkshire area and beyond. But that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate a shorter drive given the opportunity! Recently, we took a short trip down to Beighton, Sheffield to improve a customer’s home with a fantastic kitchen extension.
A shop for windows and doors turns into much more
Our Beighton customers had already decided they wanted an extension on their kitchen, so had popped down to our Handsworth showroom to find something from our fantastic range of windows and doors to go with it. It was here they discovered that we also do extensions, so they set about asking the Global Windows team for our services.
After discussing their requirements, we set a date in the near future for work to start, before shortly making our way down to Beighton to begin their extension.
Our team used matching brickwork for a totally seamless blend between the extension and their existing home, allowing for the transition between the two spaces to feel as natural as possible.
Our Beighton customers decided on Anthracite Grey, the ideal shade for a contemporary look, was what they’d like for the framing, ensuring for an ultra-modern and clean appearance upon completion of the new structure.
A stylish set of French doors were fitted to allow plenty of light inside the extension and for easy access to the garden. In order to assure the security of their home wasn’t compromised either, Ultion lock cylinders and an advanced Yale multi-point locking system were fitted upon them.
Our expert team even went through the trouble of sinking the plasterboard so the client could fit their TV in the wall.
A key aspect of the extension was that our customers wanted it to feel like a continuation of their current property. Therefore, it was decided the Guardian Warm Roof was the best solution for the job. This ensured the structure was able to achieve a comfortable temperature throughout the year. Externally, the tiling present on the roof was matched to their property, and internally the plastered ceiling was matched to their existing kitchen. This ensured the characteristics of the property, both inside and out, were retained.
Overall, it took 4 weeks to complete the job from start to finish. Our Beighton customers were seemingly delighted with our work.
