Charity golf day at Bondhay Golf Club
Last month, we helped raise £1000 in the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice Golf Day at Bondhay Golf Club.
“We sponsored a free front door equipped with Kubu smart lock technology for anyone who got a hole in one, and a bottle of spirits for those closest to the pin. Those within 10 feet of the hole were given a sleeve of Pro V1 golf balls, while those holding the green were given a sleeve of Srixon balls. We also provided free refreshments at the hole,” said Global Windows Managing Director Liam Hulme.
“We’ve recently renewed our partnership with Bluebell Wood, pledging to donate £5 to the charity for every installation we carry out. In the past 12 months, after 809 installations, we raised
£4,045 for the charity, and we’re delighted to commit to another year of donations.”
Since 2008, Bluebell Wood has been supporting children with life-limiting illnesses, both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston.
The charity currently cares for around 300 families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire, and parts of North Lincolnshire, providing family respite care, sibling support, music therapy, physiotherapy, end of life care, and bereavement support.
Liam went on to say: “As a family-run business that places great importance on caring for our local community, we’re very proud to have once again nominated Bluebell as our Charity of the Year.
“In addition to £5 for every installation, we’re also always looking for ways to raise more money for the hospice, helping them fund life-changing activities for those most in need.”
