Here at Global Windows, we helped to raise over £6,700 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice during the Bondhay Golf Club Captains Charity Golf Day in Worksop.
“We sponsored the 11th hole, offering a free front door fitted with a Kubu smart lock to anyone who got a hole in one,” said our Joint Managing Director Liam Hulme.
“The Global Windows team came fourth overall, not a bad team effort, and in the end helped to raise £6,710 for Bluebell Wood through the hole in one challenge, a charity auction held on the day, as well as green fees, balance bunkers, raffles, and a donations jar.
“In May, we nominated Bluebell Wood as our Charity of the Year, pledging to donate £5 for every installation the business carries out.
“Since 2008, Bluebell Wood has been supporting children with life-limiting illnesses, both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston.”
Bluebell currently cares for around 300 families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire, and parts of North Lincolnshire, providing family respite care, sibling support, music therapy, physiotherapy, end of life care, and bereavement support.
Liam went on to say: “We were delighted with the outcome of the charity golf day, and as a family run business that places great importance on caring for our local community, we’re very proud to have nominated Bluebell as our Charity of the Year.
“In addition to £5 for every installation, we’re also always looking for ways to raise more money for the hospice, helping them fund life-changing activities for those most in need.”
