We’re very pleased to announce that in the past six months, we’ve donated nearly £2,000 to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a charity that supports children and young adults with life-limiting illnesses.
In May, we nominated Bluebell Wood as our charity of the year, pledging to donate £5 for every installation carried out, helping to fund activities for families to create special memories together, including soft play, sensory activities play, music therapy, and outdoor fun.
“Since the beginning of May, we’ve carried out 386 installations across South Yorkshire, which adds up to £1,930 in donations to Bluebell Wood, something which we are very proud to have achieved,” says Global Windows Joint Managing Director Liam Hulme.
“Giving back to the community has always been very important to us, and it’s been a privilege working with Bluebell and knowing that the work we do is in some way helping children in need. We very much look forward to the next six months of our partnership and further helping a very good cause.”
Since 2008, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice has been providing family respite care, sibling support, music therapy, physiotherapy, end of life care, and bereavement support for families across South Yorkshire. It costs the hospice almost £14,000 a day to keep its doors open, 85% of which is completely reliant on donations.
