We’ve put together this handy guide on the most frequently asked questions we receive on our integral blinds.
Integral blinds are blinds that are fitted between the panes of glass that make up a double or triple glazed unit. Despite being in between the panes of glass, the blinds can be opened and closed manually or by an electronic operation.
Integral blinds can be installed into almost any type of double glazed window or door, be it inward or outward opening, sliding, or bi-folding. If you’re unsure of the suitability of your double-glazed unit or door, contact us for more information and we'll be happy to advise.
The long-term benefits of integral blinds are well worth the investment. To get an accurate indication of integral blind costs we recommend contacting our friendly team for a free no-obligation quote. Our quotes are always as bespoke as the job itself.
There are a few options to choose from when it comes to operating your integral blinds.
Manual cord operation
Manual cordless operation
Automated operation
Manual systems can feature a securely attached cord fitted to a rotational magnetic transmission through the glass. However, for those who don’t want their double-glazed units impeded by cords, discreet magnetic sliders are another option. All of our blind systems are child and pet safe, complying with the "make it safe campaign".
The automated system uses long-life reachable batteries that are combined with an external solar panel. The motor moves the blinds up and down and is operated by remote control or a control device that is magnetically attached to the window.
Our integral blinds are most often fitted inside new windows and doors but they can be retrofitted into existing windows and doors simply by replacing the sealed unit. They can also be fitted into frames of all materials, including uPVC and aluminium.
With 10 striking colours to choose from, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to the finish of our integral blinds. We’re certain you’ll have no difficulty matching their appearance to that of your home. Our colours include:

We are often faced with questions from our customers who want to know more about the benefits of integral blinds, so we’ve tried to answer the main questions in this handy guide.
Integral blinds are a maintenance-free way to make your home more private and reduce light levels as and when you need to. The modern alternative to Venetian blinds, they sit inside the insulated glass unit of a window or door. They’re also extremely effective at increasing comfort levels when used in conservatories, orangeries, and other glazed extensions.
